Memories

Everyone has many of there own and as I listen to music, I think back to the ones that I shared with my family. These memories are filled with happy times that bring tears to my eyes. These are the memories that you wish never came to an end. I would love to go back and time and put everything in slow motion and take in all of the sights and happiness again. I know that isn't possible but a girl can wish right?

I will share one memory with you. This past summer I went to Hungary with my family, I remember the look on my Grandfather's face when we were all enjoying ourselves. His wish finally came true and we all enjoyed our time with him. The trip was amazing and I will never forget it. Thanks, Grampa!

Anyways, I want you to spend some time today remembering the good memories that you share with your family and friends and try to make a new soon.

Since My Last Post

So I haven't post on here in a while. Before I was just in and out of the house a lot and never had time to get on to write anything. Then on the 4th of July, I left on vacation with the whole family. I have been in Hungary since the 5th and will be leaving tomorrow. I am saddened that we are leaving so soon, but the time here was well spent. We did many things, such as visiting with family and going to see many different things in Budapest and more. My favorite things that we did (besides visiting family) were seeing the older historical things and going to the Puszta. The Puszta is in the country and we got to see a horse show there. The whole place was really neat. There were a couple dogs there that followed us around. Monica even named them. One of the historical things that we did was visit a World War II hospital. They had 70 wax figures and all of the medical equipment was from the 50's and 60's.

Tonight we are going to our last dinner here with the family. We are going to see folk dance. I am sad that we are leaving and I don't know when I will be able to get back and see my family again. We have been trying to convince them to come visit us in the states so we can show them around just like they have been showing us around. I really hope that they do choose to come visit. But either way I think that we all have made good memories together. Whether it was the way Gabi pronounced english words or just visiting the places as a family.

As we have been going places, we have been taking pictures and I have had a video camera. I am curious to see how the videos and pictures have come out and what candid shots we have gotten. I hope to bwe able to get the big family picture that was taken up on Castle Hill. This picture has all of us and Attila, Gabi and Urchi Bachi.

But for now, I am just going to cherish the last of the time that we have left and remember all of the wonderful memories that we have. I do hope to come back sometime in the future, but this will probably be the only time that we all come as a family.

Time Well Spent

Yesterday, I went to my Grandparent's house for the day. My Grandmother needed help getting in touch with my cousin from Hungary. I got on to AIM and talked to him for a few minutes there and then went on to Skype to be able to video chat with him. It is a lot easier then trying to read typed words on a screen.

I found out that there really isn't much planned for the trip. But, there are many ideas on what to do. My cousin, Attila decided that he is going to show us around. Some of the places that we are going to go see he hasn't been to. He is even nice enough to greet us when we get off of the plane and help finding the transportation that we are going to need to get around.

I am so excited to go and see the country. I have been waiting to go for awhile now and being able to go with my family makes this trip sound even better. I wasn't even sure if I was going to go in the future. I can't wait to see what memories we are all going to make together.

After we finished talking with Attila, I went online to try to find things that I thought would be interesting to do, but all I could find were things that we had already talked about so I gave up. After this some more talking about some of the minor aspects of the trip and then the best part happened...Dinner!

Grampa decided that he wanted to make a Hungarian dish for dinner and asked me if I would like to stay. I thought that this was a great time to stay and try something new. I enjoyed dinner. I don't have any idea on how to spell the name, but basically it was pork, sour cream, paprika, black pepper, bell pepper, and onions over egg noodles. During dinner there was some more chatter about the trip and how we all thought that the dish would be too hot for my mother. (But we love her anyways!)

Disappointments

A little while ago, I walked to Schwartz to do my W-4 for my job in the fall. But when I got there I found out that I have to do one sheet today and then she would have to get it signed and then I would have to go back again after she calls me. But before that, I looked to see what was for lunch today at Connecticut Hall. On the menu was Hungarian Beef Goulash. I got really excited. But when I got there, it looked like pulled pork, nothing like what its supposed to be. I was so disappointed. I didn't even bother to try it.

But the biggest disappointment was yesterday. I wish that my Dad could have been at Easter dinner with us. I got to sit in his seat, but it was really weird. I miss him so much. I can't wait to see him again. I love you Dad.

Really, really excited

My family had the family meeting today. Dad began it by saying that my Grandfather dropped a bomb on him Friday night. He also said that he thinks its a great idea. By him saying that, I was really excited and I didn't know what he could have possibly said to my dad.

After what felt like hours, my dad said that my Grandfather told him that he is taking us on vacation. I was still excited but also puzzled, until he said that we are going to go to Hungary either the end of July or the beginning of August.

I can't wait to go. I have been dreaming to go and see the country. Thank you Grammie and Grampa.

SURPRISE!!

Earlier today, I got a phone call from my dad, saying that I have a package from overseas. I could only think of my cousin, Attila. After we got off of the phone, I told Bill what he had said and asked if we could stop by my house later to see what it was.

From the time that my dad told me to the time I got home, I couldn't get it off of my mind. I didn't ask for anything and I wasn't expecting anything from him. I had no idea what it could have been.

So I finally got home and my dad hands me my mail from the red cross and something else underneath the envelope. I put down the other thing to read what I got from the red cross and then picked up what I had gotten. He had sent me a book, Made in Hungary or Made By Hungarians. I decided that I wanted to start to read this book, so soon after I sat down and started to read it. It has a lot of interesting things that I haven't ever thought of.

But anyways, thank you Attila for this book.

Its been so long

Last Thursday, my Grandparents, my Dad and myself went to Manchester, NH to go to the Hungarian restaurant. My Grandfather, my Dad and I all had the beef goulash and my grandmother had the sauerkraut goulash. It was so delicious. For dessert, we all had something different and shared with each other. I think the one that my Grandmother had was the best.

Afterwards, when everything was bought, my Grandmother and I went across the street to the store across the street. When we were there, we saw many different kinds of ornaments and other things. When we were in there, my Dad sent me a text to ask me how much longer we were going to be. In the process of answering him, the lady that owed the store yelled at me for using my phone. She said that she doesn't allow phones in her store, yet she was on her phone and there was a blackberry right next to the cash register.

Christmas was a blast. We went over to my Aunt's house and we started to play our new wii games. We played Life, Clue, Yahtzee, Mario Brother's 25th anniversary and a few other games. It was a lot of fun.

Yesterday, I went to my parents friends house to help him move stuff out of his office so he can change the carpet in there. Well a lot of the big stuff which was left was moved by Billy and him, so I felt that I was in the way, so I went downstairs to play with their new puppy. It was a blast.

And today, I am babysitting my Aunt's four kids again. I love to babysit them. We are going to have fun.
