Well that didn't work

I said last time that I got an app and then I forgot about it. Here's an update...I am still working at Walgreens and I bought myself a new car. I love it. I have found the perfect guy and we will see where things go. So far things are wonderful. We are really comfortable with each other and never have an awkward moment, there is always something to talk about and we are very open with each other. I can't wait to see where things go from here. But I don't want to give too many details just yet, so I'm going to cut this short for now.

I'm alive.

So I have failed at writing on my blog more often. But I have found an app for my phone that will make it easier to post. Lets see what happens.

Oh WOW!!

I just realized that I haven't written on here since the end of August. A lot has changed since then. For starters, I no longer work at the campground or have the job as the paper deliverer (which I never told you about). A long story short, the paper job taught me how to drive the car better and wasted a lot of gas. I now work at Walgreens. I got the job at the end on September and have already been promoted to Head Photo Specialist. I love that job. I get to see a whole bunch of different places without leaving my place of work.

I have also stopped going to Southern. I really thought that I wanted to be a Speech and Language Pathologist, but I had a really hard time focusing in class, so now I am a MCC and a general studies major. I am trying different classes to see what sparks my interest. I really like some of my classes right now and I am  already considering taking the next set of classes.

One other thing that I have been thinking of it, I turn 21 in less then a month and have no idea what to do on my birthday. I asked a couple of my friends for ideas, but I haven't had many ideas come my way. So far I am just going to go out to dinner with some friends hopefully. I will definitely think of something to do, I can't just do nothing.

As for now, I am really going to try to post on here more often.

School

School has started once again for me. Although I like to learn things I am ready for a much needy long break from school. I know your probably thinking that I just had the whole summer off, why could I possibly want more time off of school? Well heres the thing. I no longer know what I want to do with my life, so I have no idea what I should study at college and I have just started my sixteenth year of consectutive schooling. I know that learning is fun and that I need to do it now instead of taking the "year" off, which for most people the "year" off turns into many years off, but I just need a break. Everything just seems to be flying by, can't just one fun thing seem like it takes forever to get through?

But anyways, I am hoping to be able to find someone on campus who will be able to help me help myself figure out what field I want to get into. But for right now I am basically just going to my classes and taking it one day at a time. I can't do anything else for right now because of stress. Hopefully, my stress management class will teach me new and good techniques to manage my stress and help me lead a better stress "free" life.

Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day and like most towns and cities, my hometown has a parade and a small ceremony afterwards. This year like most years, I went down to the street corner and watched the parade with my Grandmother. Afterwards I knew I had to go get my sister in the center of town but I also wanted to go and listen to the ceremony. My Grandmother decided that she would like to go to seeing as she has never been to it before. It was bittersweet. Each Memorial Day they have the same few readings and the list of the veterans who have past on within the year. They read off and my Grandfathers name and there were some tears but afterwards there was plenty of happiness. My Grandmother had bought some flowers for my brother and one of my sisters. My sister and her friend took the flowers and walked back to the parking lot with them laughing and singing, making the day brighter. We have one more ceremony to go to at the cemetery and then a picnic at my Grandmothers house. I could not wait for such a good day to be underway.

I WON!!

Well not first place but I still placed (third). My Creative Writing class did a postcard writing challenge a couple months ago. We used the picture to create a story with and then wrote the story on the other side in very small writing so we could fit the whole thing (it had to be at a minimum 250 words). After we had to send them through the mail to our professor who gave them to a friend to decide who won. There were two first place winners and three third place winners. I can't believe that I got third. My writing has never been good enough for a prize. Anyways the semester is coming to an end and I have finals next week so I better get back to studying.
