School

School has started once again for me. Although I like to learn things I am ready for a much needy long break from school. I know your probably thinking that I just had the whole summer off, why could I possibly want more time off of school? Well heres the thing. I no longer know what I want to do with my life, so I have no idea what I should study at college and I have just started my sixteenth year of consectutive schooling. I know that learning is fun and that I need to do it now instead of taking the "year" off, which for most people the "year" off turns into many years off, but I just need a break. Everything just seems to be flying by, can't just one fun thing seem like it takes forever to get through?

But anyways, I am hoping to be able to find someone on campus who will be able to help me help myself figure out what field I want to get into. But for right now I am basically just going to my classes and taking it one day at a time. I can't do anything else for right now because of stress. Hopefully, my stress management class will teach me new and good techniques to manage my stress and help me lead a better stress "free" life.

Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day and like most towns and cities, my hometown has a parade and a small ceremony afterwards. This year like most years, I went down to the street corner and watched the parade with my Grandmother. Afterwards I knew I had to go get my sister in the center of town but I also wanted to go and listen to the ceremony. My Grandmother decided that she would like to go to seeing as she has never been to it before. It was bittersweet. Each Memorial Day they have the same few readings and the list of the veterans who have past on within the year. They read off and my Grandfathers name and there were some tears but afterwards there was plenty of happiness. My Grandmother had bought some flowers for my brother and one of my sisters. My sister and her friend took the flowers and walked back to the parking lot with them laughing and singing, making the day brighter. We have one more ceremony to go to at the cemetery and then a picnic at my Grandmothers house. I could not wait for such a good day to be underway.

I WON!!

Well not first place but I still placed (third). My Creative Writing class did a postcard writing challenge a couple months ago. We used the picture to create a story with and then wrote the story on the other side in very small writing so we could fit the whole thing (it had to be at a minimum 250 words). After we had to send them through the mail to our professor who gave them to a friend to decide who won. There were two first place winners and three third place winners. I can't believe that I got third. My writing has never been good enough for a prize. Anyways the semester is coming to an end and I have finals next week so I better get back to studying.

Once again.

I have been trying and meaning to get on and write, but good intentions never got me very far. I need action. Anyways the semester is coming to an end soon. I think I might change my major. I like the one that I have but the classes are boring. (See I only like a certain (very small) aspect about it.) I am thinking about becoming a psychology major. I have been taking psychology classes and I find them much more interesting then my major classes, so tomorrow I am going to go to the psychology department and ask what I need to do in order to change my major and to see if I am behind. I hope not but if I am it is what it is.

WOW!

I just realized that I have failed to write on my blog in such a long time. It has always been I will write on it today well today has finally come. I have been really busy lately with homework and family time. I really have got to figure out a good time to write on here.

I'm not to sure on where to start, so much has happened. The birthday dinner that my Grandmother and I made was really good and the cupcakes were delicious. When I have more time I will try to post pictures and the recipe for the cupcakes. 

Between then and yesterday I didn't do much besides normal daily life. Yesterday was Easter and my family got together later in the day. Yesterday I managed to hide 305 eggs. I would try to put them higher then the ground and they would stay there until the wind blew and then they would all fall down to the ground so I just left them there.

I would love to tell you more about yesterday, but I have class starting in a few minutes, so I should probably go get ready for it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Today is my Dad's birthday. Usually, my parents ask me what I want for my birthday dinner (oops, forgot to mention that it is also my birthday) and they cook it. Well, this year it took a different turn. I decided what I wanted for dinner, but my Grandmother is going to come over a little later and help me make dinner.  The only thing that I couldn't figure out was what to make for dessert. I was looking around and thought about making a two layered yellow with chocolate frosting and strawberries in the middle. But my Grandmother can't have strawberries and I wanted her to at least have the option of having dessert so I scratched that idea and keep looking. Then I came across the best sounding cupcake. Lemon-Raspberry Cupcakes. They look and sound so delicious. Well now that I have had some fun. Its time to make these cupcakes and clean the house up.
